Achilles Giannisis Secures Podium Finish in Impressive Karting Debut

Achilles Giannisis made a standout performance in his race debut in the DD2 Karting category in the esteemed 2020 Rotax MAX Challenge HELLAS, located in Kartodromo Athens, Greece. A National Championship featuring some of the fastest karting drivers of Greece, many of whom held past national championship titles and were eager to include this one under their belt.

Despite his newcomer status, Giannisis demonstrated exceptional pace early on, qualifying in a strong fifth position (P5). Once the lights went out, he systematically fought his way to the front of the field. His strategic drive was defined by highly consistent lap times, clean racing to avoid incidents and vigorous defensive driving under intense pressure.

The post-race celebrations were highly emotional for Achilles, his team and his family, as he successfully clinched third place (P3) in the championship, bringing home the first trophy of his promising racing career.
