Achilles 29th in the Porsche Esports Supercup - Americas Region
After qualifying in the top 32 drivers of the Americas Region, Achilles now had to face his toughest battle yet. Competing against the 31 fastest and toughest drivers of the Americas.
This was no easy task, as Achilles was the last driver who had successfully qualified in the Regional Championship. This meant that in order for him to finish higher than 32nd place, he needed to find more speed, be more consistent and more aggressive than ever before. He needed to beat drivers who were, evidentially, faster than him. The barriers that Achilles had to overcome didn’t stop there. Almost every driver on the grid had team support that included setup optimizations, coaching, advanced telemetry tools and most importantly, experience of eSports competitions.
Achilles had none of those things, but still, he refused to quit. He put in maximum effort and he worked with the tools he had in his disposal. He did his own telemetry analysis, worked on car setups and tried different driving styles to see what worked.

Despite his efforts, the competitors held the upper hand and were consistently better prepared and faster than Achilles. This did not stop him from fighting for positions regardless and during the races he kept on learning and finetuning his race craft.
After intense battles, emotions, effort and dedication, in the span of 10 weeks, Achilles Giannisis managed to score enough championship points for 29th position out of the 32 best drivers of the Americas Region. Unfortunately, these points meant that he did not manage to qualify for the “Grand Finals” of the championship and his journey in the Porsche Esports Supercup came to an end. However, these results showed something very important. They showed clear progress and potential for Achilles and he wasn’t the only one who took note of this progress.
In the end stages of the Regional Championship, the eSports team owner of “Luke Manske Racing eSports” (LMR eSports), saw potential and reached out to Achilles and asked him to join his eSports team. Achilles Giannisis accepted the invitation.
Moving forward, Achilles Giannisis will be working closely with the rest of the talented team of LMR eSports, in order to develop as a driver and unlock the final few tenths, of lap time, that determine whether a driver finishes in 32nd position or pole position.
The Porsche Esports Regional Championships might be over, but Achilles’s journey in pro eSports competitions has only just begun.
